Editorial Standards & Review Process
Who writes The Intimacy Archives, what the claims rest on, and where coaching stops and clinical care begins.
Who writes this
Every article on The Intimacy Archives is written by Coach Nikki, sex, relationship and intimacy coach. There is no anonymous content team and no ghostwritten filler.
- Sex, relationship and intimacy coach working with individuals and couples
- Founder of The Pleasure Practice
- Creator of The Connection Coach
How each article is reviewed
Step 1
Written from practice, not aggregated from other blogs
Every article is written by Coach Nikki and draws on patterns seen directly in coaching work with individuals and couples, not on rewritten third-party content.
Step 2
Checked against the research literature
Claims about how desire, arousal, anxiety and attention work are checked against established sex-therapy and psychology literature before publication. Where the evidence is mixed or contested, the article says so instead of flattening it into advice.
Step 3
Reviewed for scope and safety before publishing
Each piece is reviewed to confirm it stays inside the scope of coaching and education. Anything that belongs with a physician, pelvic-floor specialist or licensed mental health clinician is named as such and referred out rather than coached around.
Step 4
Reviewed and updated over time
Articles are revisited as guidance changes or as coaching practice sharpens the explanation. Substantive updates change the article's published date rather than being made silently.
Step 5
No sponsored or affiliate content
Nothing on The Intimacy Archives is paid placement. The only commercial link is to Coach Nikki's own coaching work, and it is always labelled as such.
Medical scope — what this site is not
The Intimacy Archives publishes coaching and sex education, not medical advice. It is not written or reviewed by a physician, and it does not diagnose or treat any condition. If you are dealing with pain, a sudden change in sexual function, or distress that affects your daily life, see a physician or a licensed mental health clinician.
